Britt passed in 2005 after living a very long and rewarding life of trail riding. She
seldom complained about the many miles that were asked of her. Her favorite time to ride
was right after a snow fall, she took great pleasure in gently crow-hopping as she loped
in snow. She was always the lead mare of the herd and knew how to manipulate the younger
horses through an electric fence, so she could freely graze the neighborhood.
Critter

Echo
Echo is currently the lead lesson horse at Echo River Ranch. He has traveled many miles
of trails carrying a rider, but has not since the 1986 adventure been used as a pack horse.
Over his years, he has come to practically understand English. Most recently he has been
developing some arthritis in his knees and so the long rides are fewer and far between.
He has also been loosing some of his teeth, but enjoys the little bit of extra bran that
helps keep him at a healthy weight.
